New Balance in the only manufacturer still making athletic shoes in the US. In fact, 25% of their shoes are made in America. The 993 is the latest in the 990 series and are noted for their comfort and durability. These are the shoes that Steve Jobs famously wears when introducing the newest products from Apple. The original 990 came out in 1982 after 4 years of research. New Balance also was the first company to make running shoes in widths.

Uncle Goose Wooden Blocks
William Bultman started Uncle Goose Toys in 1983 to make classic embossed alphabet blocks. Lindenwood Inc continues his legacy of making high quality blocks in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The blocks come in many languages, including Danish, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish, as well as Braille and Sign-Language. They even come in Egyptian hieroglyphics.
Case Pocket Knife
If you don't own a pocket knife, you don't realise how useful they can be. W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has been making pocket knives in Bradford, Pennsylvania since 1905. But the company's roots go back to 1889. They make an uncountable number to types of knives with many different handle materials. I prefer the medium stockman.

Grado Headphones
These sound great. You cannot find a better headphone at this price. Grado makes headphones and phono cartridges by hand in Brooklyn, New York. Grado Labs was founded in 1955 by Joseph Grado. His nephew, John Grado, now runs the company.
